Part-time Adjunct Teaching - Department of Philosophy and Program Religious Studies

The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University is currently inviting applications for Part-time Adjunct Teaching Positions in the Department of Philosophy ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) and the Program for Religious Studies ().

Areas of need include, but are not limited to:

• Current Moral Issues
• Introduction to World Religions
• History and Practice of Christianity
• History and Practice of Islam

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in-person or online courses in the Department of Philosophy or in the Program for Religious Studies. Generally, individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with a master's degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per-course basis.

Philosophy: The positions for the Department of Philosophy require a master's or doctoral degree in Philosophy or a closely related discipline.

Program for Religious Studies: The positions for the Program for Religious Studies require a master's or doctoral degree in Religious Studies or a closely related discipline.

For all positions, evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level is required.
