Overview
Math Pro Learning Centre is actively seeking applicants for Junior Tutor and Senior Tutor positions on all locations on weekday evenings and weekends. All positions commence immediately.

Total positions: NW – Crowfoot 3 Junior, 2 Senior (5 total). NW – Country Hills 2 Junior, 1 Senior (3). NW – Chelsea 3 Junior, 1 Senior (4). NE – Marlborough 0 Junior, 0 Senior (0). SW – Springborough Blvd 3 Junior, 3 Senior (6). SW – Horton Rd 5 Junior, 5 Senior (10). SE – Seton 5 Junior, 5 Senior (10).
Assessment& Background Checks
All applicants must undertake written subject competency assessment tests and agree to obtain a Policy Information Check Vulnerable Sector Report at their own cost. Senior Tutor requires 1-year formal professional tutoring experience.
Junior Tutor Qualifications(Math
30-1 & Chemistry) or (Math
30-1 & Physics)
- Competent in the subject of Mathematics (Math 30-1, Alberta Grade 12 Diploma Level)
- 80% (B+ or above) standing in the relevant course(s)
- Must possess a strong overall academic standing
- Punctual, responsible, dependable, and mature
- Submit 3 references (at the time of interview)
- Must be passionate about teaching
- Preference:
Received Junior and/or Senior high education in Alberta - Provide most recent university transcript
- Provide high school transcript
(Math 30-1 & Calculus & Chemistry) or (Math 30-1 & Calculus & Physics) or (Math 30-1 & Calculus & Physics & Chemistry)
- In addition to Junior Tutor requirements
- Competent in the subject of Calculus, Alberta Grade 12 Diploma Level
- Competent in the subject of Physics or Chemistry, Alberta Grade 12 Diploma Level
- With 1-year formal professional tutoring experience (volunteer experience, Teaching Assistant and tutoring related experience outside of Canada do not count)
- Senior Tutor commands a higher pay scale
Math
12 (Advance Functions) – MHF4U or Math
12 (Calculus & Vector) – MCV4U or Math
12 (Data Management) – MDM4U or Chemistry 12 – SCH4U or Physics 12 – SPH4U or combinations.
- Competent in the subject of Mathematics or Physics, or Chemistry (Ontario Diploma OSSD University preparation levels – the “4U” courses)
- 80% standing in the relevant course(s)
- Must possess a strong overall academic standing
- Punctual, responsible, dependable, and mature
- Submit 3 references (at the time of interview)
- Must be passionate about teaching
- Preference:
Junior and/or Senior high school education in North America - Provide most recent transcript
- Provide high school transcript
- Tutor who can master multiple subjects and/or with more than 1 year of professional tutoring experience# commands a higher pay grade.
