Part-time Adjunct Teaching - Department of Sociology and Anthropology and Women’s

Position Overview

West Virginia University’s Eberly College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for Part-time Adjunct Teaching Positions in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and the Women’s and Gender Studies Program.

Successful candidates will teach in‑person or online courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.

• Sociology:
  Master’s or doctoral degree in sociology or a closely related discipline.
• Anthropology and Criminology:
  Master’s or doctoral degree in sociology, anthropology, or a closely related discipline.
• Women’s and Gender Studies:
  Master’s or doctoral degree in Women’s and Gender Studies, LGBTQ+ Studies, or a related discipline with an emphasis on gender and/or LGBTQ+ studies (e.g., Certificate in WGST). Scholars from multiple academic backgrounds are encouraged.

For all positions, evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level is required.
