Salary based on experience and position per the attached salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
Requirements and Responsibilities- Candidate mustpass the Service Personnel Competency Test for "Aide".
- Personnel who do not possess the minimum requirements for the Aide V permanent authorization but are enrolled in and pursuing requirements for a special education assistant teacher will be classified as "temporary authorization" - supervisory and paid on an "F" pay grade.
- Personnel who have completed the requirements and experience for a special education assistant teacher to be prescribed by the state board of education will be classified as "permanent authorization" - supervisory and paid on a "G" pay grade.
- Required courses will be offered by the West Virginia Department of Education and will be administered similar to ECCAT courses.
- Personnel will have three (3) years to complete the required courses.
