Position Overview
The School of Business at West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), part of the WVU system located in Beckley, WV, is inviting applications for part‑time adjunct faculty positions. Potential areas of need include Accounting and Finance. All positions are part‑time, not benefits‑eligible. Salary is set on a per‑course basis. The successful candidate will design, prepare, deliver, and assess courses for the undergraduate programs in the School of Business, teaching in‑person and/or online as required.
ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be responsible for teaching in‑person and/or online courses for the undergraduate programs in the School of Business and will work to ensure academic quality and student success.
Qualifications- Accounting: master’s degree in accounting or accounting information systems, or PhD in Accounting. A JD may be accepted for specific course needs. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of full‑time professional experience in the course content area, holding relevant professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CMA, CFE), will be considered.
- Finance: master’s or doctoral degree in finance or a closely related discipline, or a bachelor’s degree with at least five years of full‑time professional experience in the course content area. Evidence of ability to teach effectively is required.
