Overview
The Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering (MMAE). Applicants whose expertise aligns with the department’s critical teaching needs – solid mechanics, dynamics and control, energy systems, and mechatronics – are especially encouraged to apply.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:
- Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses in the specified areas.
- Perform professional service activities within and outside the university.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and stakeholders.
- Earned Doctorate degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials engineering, robotics engineering, or a closely related field, at the time of appointment.
- Ability or potential to teach a variety of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Demonstrated professional service and scholarly activity (preferred).
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
