The Financial Analyst supports the Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, rates, treasury, M&A, and financial reporting activities. This role provides analytical support to help drive informed decision‑making across the organization, with a focus on learning and development within the natural gas and water industry.

• Assist in the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts in collaboration with business units.
• Support M&A and ad hoc analysis for executive management.
• Prepare and distribute standard monthly financial reports and variance analyses.
• Support financial performance tracking and identify trends or anomalies.
• Maintain and update financial models under the guidance of senior team members.
• Conduct basic financial analysis to support project evaluations and operational decisions.
• Assist in monitoring cost and revenue trends across departments.
• Provide support for rate case preparation and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy.
• Help ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Support audit preparation and documentation efforts.
• Prepare presentations for executives, investors, banks, and board of directors.

• Serve as an Individual Contributor without supervisory responsibilities.
• Support and contribute towards team goals and objectives.

• Understanding of utility finance, rate structures, and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial management and analysis.
• Analytical, problem assessment, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), financial software (Onestream), and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• Financial Analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
• Senior Financial Analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.

• Remain stationary at a designated workspace for 80% of the time.
• Move self in different positions to accomplish various tasks throughout the office space.
• Adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds.
• Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery as necessary.
• Communicate with others to accurately exchange information and ideas.
• Observe details at close range.

• Minimum travel for work‑related purposes is expected 10% which includes some overnight visits to locations and industry events.
• This is a full‑time exempt salaried position.
