The team is
dedicated and united with 6 team members located both in Norway and France. You will play a critical role in strengthening the business group Finance organization and supporting the PWR-Transmission Head of Engineering & R&D. The role can be located in Oslo
, Puteaux or Charleston and will report to the Head of Business Controlling.
To succeed as Business Controller
- Capex, Cash and Balance Sheet, you have some experience in finance from project or industrial and/or an audit firm. You have experience working domestically or internationally. You have experience interacting with operations and have strong business acumen. You demonstrated being a quick learner and an independent self-starter in your previous experiences.
- Assumes full control on consolidated Capex (including the major expansion investment program), at G&T level, ensuring consistency among different sites/entities
- Explains actuals and manages forecast and budget
- Enhances quality and added value on financial controlling, monitoring and reporting of the major Capex projects and associated cash Flow forecasting.
- Helps challenge and prioritization of the G&T Capex projects, considering financial and other aspects (such as safety, carbon and environmental footprint etc).
- Establishes discipline to perform post-mortem analysis of capex to verify the actualization of the original commitment in terms of costs and benefits.
- Builds free cash flow with both direct and indirect methodology to explain cash forecast to Finance leadership team and Corporate.
- Streamlines and adapts governance and reporting of cash forecast to insure consistency between cash forecast and OWC forecast
- Builds understanding of working capital and other balance sheet items with underlying business levers to challenge operations (projects, plants, purchasing…) and forecast/budget it accurately
- Identifies business and financial risks and opportunities for cash
- Support G&T management team in identifying performance drivers, and in defining action plans to reach strategic targets.
- In charge of Norwegian entities for forecast and budget in HFM
- Master degree in Finance or Business
- 7+ years of experience in project or industrial business and/or in an audit firm
- In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you have strong analytical skillset and ability to synthesize information to prepare clear documentation and presentation.
- In Nexans we work in teams and are driven by project execution therefore being able to interact with operation and having desire to learn quickly new concepts is of upmost importance.
- Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- SAP and HFM/PBCS knowledge not required but an asset.
- Fluent in English, – oral and written.
