- This position is for the Wage and Hour section of the Division of Labor.
- Headquartered at the State Capitol Complex in Charleston, you will be responsible for processing Requests for Assistance (RFA) for unpaid wages/ fringe benefits.
- Greet and assist customers via in-person and telephone and answer questions regarding state law and policy & procedure.
- Review and interpret state code, procedural rules, and policy directives to make determinations of payments.
- State equipment will be provided.
- Occasional travel may be required. Travel expenses will be paid by the agency.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
- Travel may include traveling to businesses to review payroll records, company handbooks, interview involved parties, etc.
- Schedule status hearings with complainants and businesses.
- Hands-on training will be provided.
- Accurate data entry into agency databases and reports are required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Graduation from a standard four-year high school or the equivalent.
Training: Hands-on training will be provided.
Special Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license.
