Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule3x12 hour nights with a weekend rotation and holidays as scheduled.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), performing a variety of treatments and procedures according to established protocols. The therapist will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality care for patients.
Responsibilities- Administer respiratory therapy treatments in the NICU and PICU.
- Utilize various equipment including ventilators (Hamilton and Servo), aerosol delivery systems, and airway management tools.
- Conduct intrahospital transport of patients while providing continuous respiratory support.
- Assist with intubation procedures as part of the healthcare team.
- Perform all aspects of respiratory care, including the use of cough assist and other specialized therapies.
- Document all treatments and procedures in the EPIC charting system.
- Must possess RRT certification; CRT is acceptable but RRT is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level III or greater NICU or a Level IV or Level I PICU.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
- License to practice respiratory therapy in the applicable state.
