Key Responsibilities of the Radiation Therapist

Deliver accurate radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists
Operate linear accelerators, simulation equipment, and treatment‑planning systems
Position patients accurately to ensure precise beam delivery
Monitor patients for side effects and communicate concerns to the oncology team
Maintain detailed treatment records and documentation
Support patient education and provide compassionate care
Comply with all radiation‑safety, quality‑control, and infection‑prevention standards

Requirements of the Radiation Therapist

ARRT (T) certification required
Active West Virginia licensure (if applicable)
Current BLS certification
Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in Radiation Therapy
