Associate System Analyst - Ambulatory

We’re excited you’re considering an opportunity with us. This position supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of software systems to meet organizational needs. The role assists in system troubleshooting, end-user training, and basic project coordination. The position collaborates with senior team members to ensure system functionality, user support, and operational efficiency, contributing to the integration and optimization of technology solutions and providing foundational technical and administrative support for various projects and tasks.

• System Maintenance, Updates, and Innovation: assist in diagnosing and resolving IT issues; support system updates for basic workflows and optimization initiatives; participate in functional and integrated testing; contribute to system error correction and optimization.
• Security and Access: assist with user security management under guidance of senior analysts to uphold data integrity and optimize access control.
• System Enhancements: collaborate with senior team members to suggest and implement updates or new functionalities based on organizational needs, focusing on system efficiency and best practices.
• Data and Reporting: support data import/export and basic reporting to aid accurate data handling and reporting optimization.
• Collaboration and Communication: communicate updates clearly with team members and business partners; foster a positive team environment; remain open to feedback and continuous improvement; ensure reliable remote communication.
• Project Coordination: assist with project planning and scheduling; oversee project coordination as needed; facilitate communication, document meeting notes and actions; maintain project documentation and status updates; assist with risk and issue management.

  provide end-user support and training; assess user readiness and skills; deliver ongoing systems support; contribute to curriculum development for training materials.
• Continuous Learning: expand technical knowledge, participate in learning activities, apply new skills to tasks, attend training, follow industry trends, and share knowledge with peers.

• Education, Certification, and/or Licensure: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field OR two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Additional Qualifications: relevant certifications and/or proficiencies may be required with a target completion within 90 days following formal training provided by WVUHS Information Technology.

• Experience in applicable business, clinical, imaging, or web application systems, including advanced workflows, focused on driving efficiency and optimization.
• Proficiency in systems administration and providing strategic insights and improvements to business operations.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, with a focus on improving patient care processes through advanced system implementations.
• Understanding of clinical data management and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
• Knowledge in Cloud-based healthcare applications and web services, ensuring secure, scalable system architecture.
• Knowledge of reporting tools, delivering actionable insights and enhancing decision-making through data analysis and reporting capabilities.
