Overview

Support design, implementation, maintain software systems, assist in troubleshooting, provide end‑user training, and coordinate projects. Collaborate with senior team members to ensure system functionality, deliver user support, and enhance operational efficiency. Through effective collaboration and continuous learning, contribute to the integration and optimization of technology solutions while providing foundational technical and administrative support for various projects and tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant certifications and/or proficiencies may be required, with a target completion within 90 days following formal training provided by WVUHS Information Technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in business, clinical, imaging, or web application systems, including advanced workflows, focused on driving efficiency and optimization.
  • Proficiency in systems administration and providing strategic insights and improvements to business operations.
  • Experience working in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, with a focus on improving patient care processes through advanced system implementations.
  • Understanding of clinical data management and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM) to ensure seamless data exchange and compliance.
  • Knowledge of cloud‑based healthcare applications and web services, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient system architecture.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools, delivering actionable insights and enhancing decision‑making processes through comprehensive data analysis and reporting capabilities.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance, Updates, and Innovation.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving IT issues; support daily troubleshooting and problem‑solving efforts, escalating issues as needed.
  • Support system modifications, implementation, and testing; help implement updates for basic workflows.
  • Participate in functional and integrated testing; document results and identify improvement areas.
  • Contribute to system error correction and optimization; aid in diagnosing and correcting errors.
  • Assist with user security management; apply settings under guidance of senior analysts.
  • Collaborate on system enhancements; implement updates or new functionalities.
  • Support data import/export and basic reporting; manage data transfers and generate reports.
  • Collaborate effectively and communicate proactively with team members.
  • Communicate with business partners to understand needs and align technical solutions.
  • Foster a positive team environment; support a respectful, collaborative culture.
  • Seek feedback and suggest process improvements.
  • Maintain reliable remote communication for seamless collaboration.
  • Project coordination: plan, schedule, and oversee milestones.
  • Coordinate project tasks and act as a contact for stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper communication within the project team; facilitate meetings and document notes.
  • Maintain project documentation, including scope, plans, reports, and status updates.
  • Risk management:

    identify risks, create mitigation plans, and establish contingencies.
  • Issue management: identify problems and find solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Training and education: provide end‑user support and training.
  • Assess user readiness and skill levels; identify additional training needs.
  • Deliver systems support: offer ongoing user support to resolve issues.
  • Content development: contribute to curriculum development for training materials.
  • Continuous learning: expand technical knowledge, utilize professional resources, attend training, monitor industry trends, identify improvement areas, participate in team discussions, and share knowledge.
Physical Requirements

Working Environment
  • Standard office environment.
  • May require travel to other WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites for implementations, training, and support.
