Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Acute Rehab RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in a 10-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit within a Level I Trauma facility.

This unit specializes in post-acute recovery for neurological and complex rehabilitation patients and requires strong bedside skills and interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Provide care to acute inpatient rehab patients with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients with diagnoses including:
  • Stroke
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Post-spinal surgery
  • Amputations
• Manage trachs, PEG tubes, Mickey buttons, NG tubes, CPAP/BiPAP
• Utilize safe patient transfer equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab team including:
  • PT
  • OT
  • SLP
  • Neuropsychology
• Document in EPIC
• Float to acute care floors if overstaffed

• Active RN license
• BLS
• Minimum 1 year bedside nursing experience
• Must reside 50+ miles from facility
• Driver’s license address must reflect 50+ mile radius
• Previous WVU employment must be disclosed (2-year break required if applicable)

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed weekly
• Rotating weekends (approximately 4 weekend days per month)
• Holiday rotation required
• No call requirement
• No titratable drips
• No telemetry
• Royal Blue scrubs required
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• CNA support intermittently (1 CA for 8–10 patients)
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment

50-mile radius rule applies (no locals). Minimum 1 year bedside experience required. Rotating weekends and holidays required. Artificial nails not permitted in clinical areas.
