We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs with 1-2 years recent acute care experience. The right RN should be prepared to conduct patient assessments, prioritize data collection, perform ongoing assessments, and provide education and support to patients and families.
Responsibilities- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑operative patients.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Prepare equipment and assist the physician during examination and treatment.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians.
Medical Surgical Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. They should be able to lift 20 pounds easily, and may need to lift up to 50 pounds role involves working in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.
Requirements- BLS, NIH, ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience.
- Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
