Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Med Surg RN to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will manage multiple patients, ensuring safety and compliance while adhering to unit protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
• Monitor vital signs and promptly report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Document patient information in the Cerner EMR system efficiently.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate care and ensure positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Possess an active WV or Compact RN license, or pending license acceptance.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (if required) certifications through the AHA.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in telemetry and med/surg patient management.
• Provide at least 2 recent manager or charge nurse references.
• Be able to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and commit to the 13-week contract period.
