American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit position requiring telemetry skills and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.

• Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit in a hospital setting
• Patient acuity varies and may include patients who would be classified as Progressive Care or Telemetry in larger facilities
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 during emergencies
• Telemetry monitoring required, including strip reading
• EMR:
  Cerner
• Schedule:
  
  3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekdays with some weekend coverage
• Blocked schedules may be considered for weekend blocks only (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required; 2+ years of Stepdown experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips required
• IV insertion skills required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two manager or charge nurse references (within the past 2 years) required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Burgundy and/or white scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
• Holiday RTO requests are limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays
