Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit position requiring telemetry skills and a minimum of 1.5-2 years of experience.

• Active WV or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required; 2+ years of Stepdown experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips required
• Proficiency with IV insertion required
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes Stepdown, Progressive Care, and Telemetry-level patients with varying acuity
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 in emergencies
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekday shifts with some weekend coverage required
• Blocked schedules may be considered for weekend-only blocks (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• Cerner EMR experience is beneficial given the charting environment
• Acuity varies — some patients would be classified as Progressive Care or Telemetry in a larger facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs are required
• Holiday RTO requests are limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays
