Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit
This position involves working 12-hour day shifts on weekends from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with holidays scheduled as required.
The Registered Nurse will work in the Stepdown Unit, providing specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions, including heart failure, cardiac surgery, and general medicine. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, and monitoring for any changes in health status.
Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Stepdown Unit.
Monitor vital signs and manage titration of IV medications, including but not limited to Heparin, Insulin, and Nitro.
Maintain accurate patient records and report changes in condition to the medical team.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Participate in educational activities and professional development to enhance nursing skills.
Current RN license and willingness to disclose any license hits at the time of submission.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
Experience in cardiac nursing preferred.
