Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Morgantown, WV

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a combined Stepdown and Medical-Surgical floor unit with 32 total beds (12 Stepdown, 20 Floor)
• Manage a patient population with common diagnoses including chest pain, COPD, altered mental status, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, and hospice (GIP Hospice)
• Administer and monitor titratable drips in the Stepdown setting; manage PCAs, heparin, and similar infusions on the floor
• Read and interpret telemetry strips in conjunction with telemetry monitor technicians who continuously monitor patients
• Collaborate with a free charge nurse, house supervisor, and nurse aides (up to 4 aides when fully staffed) to ensure safe patient care
• Float to other floor or stepdown units as needed; adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements (2 weekends per schedule period)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitor strips
• Experience in a Stepdown, PCU, IMC, or Medical-Surgical setting
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemption requests considered on a case-by-case basis)

• Prior experience managing titratable drips in a stepdown or intermediate care environment
• Familiarity with a mixed acuity unit serving both stepdown and general medical-surgical patient populations
• Experience with hospice or GIP Hospice patient care

• Work within a well-supported unit that includes a dedicated charge nurse, house supervisor coverage, and nurse aide staffing
• Gain experience across a diverse patient population in a facility with robust respiratory therapy and telemetry monitoring resources
