Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting patient and employee safety in accordance with the company’s core values.
Responsibilities- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop an individualized plan of care.
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide direction and supervision for ancillary nursing personnel.
- Promote a safe environment in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in team-building activities to foster a positive workplace.
- Assume charge responsibility as needed following orientation.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and education.
- BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
- ACLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY)
- Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience Required
This position is for the night shift, working 3x12.0 schedules.
