This position requires 12-hour night shifts, with responsibilities scheduled on weekends and holidays as needed.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) will provide critical care to patients in the ICU, including those dealing with COVID-19, ARDS, GI bleed, sepsis, acute renal failure, stroke, and other severe health conditions. The RN is expected to manage multiple high-acuity patients effectively, ensuring their safety and comfort while delivering high-quality nursing care.
Responsibilities- Deliver direct patient care in the ICU setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Titrate IV drips, including Levophed, phenylephrine, versed, paralytics, heparin, and insulin.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including intensivists and respiratory therapists.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using the EPIC charting system.
- Current RN license.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required for the role.
- Prior ICU experience preferred.
