The step down nursing position is based in a West Virginia healthcare facility in Morgantown. This role involves providing specialized care for patients with cardiac conditions, including heart failure, cardiac surgery, and general medical-surgical cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic acute care environment.

• Shift: Weekend Days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid license to submit;
  Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) AHA, and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 1 year of full-time experience in a step down unit preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Cardiac experience is beneficial.
• Schedule:
  
  Self-scheduling available in Kronos with flexibility; weekend requirements include 3-4 weekend days (Saturday and Sunday), 2 Fridays, and 2 Mondays within a 4-week schedule.
• Additional Information:
  The unit features a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 for step down and 1:5 or 6 for general floors. RNs are required to titrate various drips, including Heparin, insulin, Nitro, Cardizem, Nicardipine, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Dobutamine. The team includes dedicated charge nurses per shift and clinical associates or nurse aids. RT equipment available includes NC, CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, and trach to vent.
  
  Tele monitoring is performed by Phillips monitors. Floating is required, with pulls to the floor typically occurring once per shift.
• Other Details:
  Dress code is royal blue scrubs. Unit-specific orientation is provided. No call or standby required. Cancellation policy involves 2 shifts per 13-week assignment.
