Role:
Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)
Responsibilities:Provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care, including monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, preparing equipment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Respond to cardiac emergencies, document patient assessments, and develop patient education plans focused on cardiac health. Ensure patient safety, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills:One year of recent Stepdown RN experience, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certifications include PCCN and NIHSS. Must demonstrate critical thinking, excellent communication, physical stamina, technical proficiency, and the ability to work under pressure and with diverse personnel.
Key Duties:Monitor telemetry data, respond to emergencies, document assessments, educate patients, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Perform all duties within scope of practice while maintaining safety and confidentiality.
