Registered Nurse – Oncology

Oncology Registered Nurse

Experienced inpatient Registered Nurse specializing in oncology, with the ability to provide comprehensive care for cancer patients in a hospital setting. The role involves managing complex clinical tasks and supporting patient recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, IV therapies, and other medications per physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs, responses to treatments, and report any adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment processes, side effects, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in Cerner EMR.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, certifications, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with WV or Compact licensure.
• Have at least 2 years of recent inpatient RN experience, including oncology preferred.
• Possess certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with ONS chemo/bio certification preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV starts and complex patient care.
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and adapt to a blocked schedule.
• Must have reliable references from recent managers or charge nurses.
