Oncology Registered Nurse
Experienced inpatient Registered Nurse specializing in oncology, with the ability to provide comprehensive care for cancer patients in a hospital setting. The role involves managing complex clinical tasks and supporting patient recovery and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy, IV therapies, and other medications per physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs, responses to treatments, and report any adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment processes, side effects, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in Cerner EMR.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, certifications, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid RN license with WV or Compact licensure.
- Have at least 2 years of recent inpatient RN experience, including oncology preferred.
- Possess certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with ONS chemo/bio certification preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IV starts and complex patient care.
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and adapt to a blocked schedule.
- Must have reliable references from recent managers or charge nurses.
