Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Operating Room team, providing specialized perioperative care in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma Center environment. This role involves circulating, scrubbing, and taking call for a variety of surgical cases.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and provide safe, effective patient care during surgical procedures.
• Circulate independently and assist with scrubbing in multiple specialties, including orthopedics, neuro, robotics, bariatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, and adult heart teams.
• Take on call responsibilities, including standby and response within 30 minutes, and work some weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Complete unit-specific orientation, including EPIC EMR training, over 2-3 shifts.
• Maintain sterile technique and operate required OR equipment including Bovie machines, forced air warmers, and Xi Robotics.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards during all surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years OR experience, with the ability to circulate independently.
• Strong ambulatory and outpatient case experience, particularly on 2 West.
• Proven ability to scrub independently, with experience in multiple surgical specialties preferred.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications such as CNOR are a plus.
• Ability to take call and work flexible shifts including 12-hour days and evenings.
