Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit RN to provide high-quality care to diverse patient populations. This role requires clinical expertise in telemetry, IV starts, and stepdown care, with a focus on patient safety and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations promptly and accurately in Cerner EMR.
• Respond swiftly to patient emergencies, utilizing advanced cardiac life support skills.

Qualifications:

• Valid WV or Compact RN license; pending licenses accepted.
• Minimum of 1.5–2 years of RN experience in Stepdown and MS/Tele units.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips effectively.
• Ability to work 3×12 night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with availability for some weekends and holidays.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
