Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift with Call Requirements

Call Requirement: Required

Weekend Requirement: As Needed

Pay Package

  • Weekly Gross: $3,400
  • Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,500
  • Taxable Wages: $1,900
Position Overview

Nurse America is seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN) for an exciting travel opportunity in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for a skilled cardiovascular nurse who thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

The ideal candidate will have recent Cath Lab experience, strong critical care skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams throughout all phases of patient care.

Requirements
  • Active RN License (Compact Accepted)
  • BLS Certification (AHA)
  • ACLS Certification (AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
  • One professional reference
  • No employment gaps exceeding 90 days in work history
  • Previous permanent employees of the facility may not be eligible
Preferred Experience
  • Cardiac Catheterization procedures
  • Electrophysiology (EP) procedures
  • Critical Care, ICU, CCU, or CVICU background
  • Pre-procedure patient assessment
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Moderate sedation experience
  • Emergency cardiac intervention experience
  • Strong procedural documentation skills
  • Experience working in a high-acuity cardiovascular environment
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive pre-procedure patient assessments
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and recovery
  • Administer medications and sedation as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital standards
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Scheduling Information
  • Day shifts
  • Call requirements may apply
  • Weekend coverage may be required based on department needs
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules as assigned
