Registered Nurse NICU

$2325.60/week -

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in a Level 3 NICU setting. Ensure the health and safety of fragile infants through clinical expertise and compassionate patient management.

Responsibilities:

• Assess neonates and deliver appropriate nursing interventions based on individual needs.
• Administer medications, including titratable drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, prostins, insulin, and sedatives under MD orders.
• Monitor neonates' vital signs and alert the team to any clinical changes, using available equipment like vents, Cpap, and BiPap.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and house supervisors to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support a team environment, including float coverage to PICU, inpatient pediatrics, and labor & delivery as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with at least 2+ years of NICU experience in a Level 3 or higher unit.
• Possess required certifications, including BLS and NRP; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in neonate assessment, IV placement, feeding, and vent/CPAP care.
• Exhibit capability to handle titratable medication drips and frequent clinical assessments.
• Have experience with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems preferred.
