Registered Nurse – NICU

Morgantown, WV

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level IV NICU setting, including micro preemies, surgical neonates, BPD, NAS, cardiac, and genetic anomaly cases
• Perform neonatal assessments, administer medications, and manage IV therapy in accordance with physician orders
• Manage ventilator and CPAP care; titrate drips including Dopamine, Dobutamine, Prostins, Insulin, and Sedation under MD order
• Support neonatal feeding protocols and monitor patient progress across ICU (1:1 or 1:2) and stepdown (1:3 or 1:4) ratios
• Collaborate with neonatologists, charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse aides to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Float as needed to PICU, Inpatient Pediatrics, or Labor and Delivery based on unit needs

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level III NICU or higher
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (required)
• Demonstrated competency in neonatal assessment, IV therapy, medication administration, and feeding management

• ACLS and/or PALS certification
• Experience with ventilator and CPAP care in a neonatal setting
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Flexibility with weekend coverage (1–2 weekends desired) and holiday availability if needed

• Work in a 50-bed Level IV NICU with 24/7 neonatologist coverage and full respiratory therapy support, offering a high-acuity, clinically rich environment
• Receive unit-specific orientation supported by NICU Clinical Preceptors, with placement flexibility based on experience level
