American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Wound & Ostomy Care position requiring WOC certification and a WV or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active WV or compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) via WOCNCB required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Prior experience as a WOC nurse required
- BSN not required
- Acute care hospital setting on the Wound & Ostomy (WOC) team
- Patient population includes wound vac and ostomy care needs
- WOC team sees patients across multiple units throughout the hospital, requiring floating
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Sunday through Saturday, 8a-4:30p, with flexible scheduling
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- No call or standby requirements
- No titratable drip management required
- Provide specialized wound and ostomy nursing care using wound vac equipment across hospital units
- 1 week of unit-specific orientation provided
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible as a traveler
- Returning travelers who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
- Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than a year cumulatively without taking a 2-year break
- All candidates interview directly with the unit manager
