As our BOH Shift Manager, you ensure customers have the best experience: quick, delicious food; a welcoming atmosphere; and a clean, stocked restaurant at all times. Your success depends on the Back‑of‑House crew’s performance. You’ll know each crew member personally and professionally, train relentlessly, and support them to achieve their goals. Our leaders are loved by their crew and lead effective teams.

• Communicate the vision for Roots culture actively to your crew to ensure your Roots Natural Kitchen is a special experience day‑in and day‑out.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team and crew to make Roots an awesome place to be every single day.
• Work with the Leadership Team to improve crew leadership skills—understand what makes people tick and inspire them to reach their best.
• Ensure crew receive excellent, hands‑on training and support throughout the training process.
• Lead and coach crew on running excellent shifts day‑in, day‑out, focusing on amazing experiences and awesome food.
• Ensure crew is hyper‑aware of food safety practices and maintain all food safety standards all the time.
• Master both BOH positions (prep & dish).
• Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude during all scheduled shifts.

• Prior restaurant management experience preferred.
• Show empathy for crew members and customers.
• Bring friendliness and enthusiasm to each day.
• Lead by example through humility and resilience.
• Have phenomenal personal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.
