Field Operations Lead

City Neon is seeking a Field Operations Lead to join our growing team. This working leadership role is responsible for executing commercial sign installations, service work, and field surveys while providing technical guidance and mentorship to Field Operations Technicians.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in commercial signage, enjoys solving technical challenges, and takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship on complex projects. This position requires strong field knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to represent City Neon professionally at customer locations.

The Field Operations Lead works closely with Field Operations Managers, Project Managers, and installation teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

• Perform commercial sign installations, service work, and field surveys
• Lead field crews through hands‑on example and technical expertise
• Interpret installation drawings, project documentation, and site requirements
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and recommend solutions
• Assist with complex signage installations and service calls
• Mentor and train Field Operations Technicians
• Demonstrate proper installation methods and safety practices
• Operate company vehicles, lifts, and equipment safely
• Represent City Neon professionally at customer sites
• Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams
• Maintain clean and organized jobsites
• Complete work safely while meeting project schedules and quality standards
• Conduct equipment inspections and follow all company safety procedures

• 5+ years of commercial sign installation or related field experience
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial signage systems
• Experience leading field crews or mentoring technicians
• Ability to interpret installation drawings and project documents
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work safely at heights and in varying outdoor conditions
• Commitment to quality craftsmanship and safety standards

• CDL license
• Crane certification
• Bucket truck or aerial lift experience
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• LED display installation experience
• OSHA certifications
• Experience with large‑scale commercial signage projects
