Software Engineer - Mid Level

Description

We are seeking a Mid‑Level Software Engineer with web application development experience and exposure to full‑stack capabilities to design, build, test, and maintain scalable software systems.

The ideal candidate has experience in web applications, cloud‑native architectures, testing, modern CI/CD practices, and is comfortable contributing across the full stack when needed. Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications throughout the software release lifecycle.

• Responsible for writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications, and applying frameworks involved in a software release.
• Computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing for application and framework development.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages.
• Work to achieve day‑to‑day objectives with moderate impact on the area/project team; work independently on larger, moderately complex projects or assignments; assist other technical staff with tasks and assignments.
• Communicate with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.) and explain technical solutions, practices, and procedures to others within the organization.

• Typically requires a BS degree and 2–4 years of prior relevant experience, or a Masters degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Must hold an active Secret security clearance.
• Expertise in front‑end web application development in one or more programming languages is required.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Agile project management software such as Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages:
  • Java

  • Spring Boot

• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices interfaces.
• Experience with automated testing (end‑to‑end, regression, integration).
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Hibernate native queries.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Git Lab.
• Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Hashi Corp Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible).
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Watch, Elastic Search).

$69,550.00 – $ (general guideline only; actual compensation is based on responsibilities, education, experience, and other factors).
