Warehouse Associate / Cherry Picker Operator Job Summary We're looking for a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate / Cherry Picker Operator to join our team. In this role, you'll operate a stock picker (cherry picker) to retrieve products from warehouse racks up to 32 feet high while wearing the required fall protection safety harness. Your primary responsibilities include picking customer orders, building pallets for shipment, staging orders on the shipping dock, and supporting shipping and receiving operations.
You'll also assist with loading and unloading trucks, inventory movement, and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have experience operating material handling equipment (MHE), we'd love to hear from you!
Pay: $18.50/hr
Schedule:
First Shift (Day) 6:30 am – 2 pm, Monday – Friday
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Cherry Picker/Stock Picker and other material handling equipment (MHE)
- Wear a required safety harness while working at heights up to 32 feet
- Pick customer orders accurately using an RF scanner
- Build and stack pallets for shipment
- Stage completed orders on the shipping dock
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Move inventory to designated warehouse storage locations
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage
- Print shipping labels and packing lists
- Manually stretch-wrap pallets for shipment
- Assist with truck loading and shipping activities
- Maintain inventory accuracy using the warehouse management system (OMNI)
- Charge forklift batteries as needed
- Keep the warehouse, trailers, and dock areas clean and organized
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed
- Complete additional warehouse duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Up to 3 months of warehouse experience (training provided)
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment
- Basic math and reading skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Previous experience of operating:
Cherry Picker / Stock Picker, Forklift, Reach Truck, Electric Pallet Jack - Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems
Physical Requirements This position requires:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Frequent lifting of up to 20 lbs
- Continuous lifting or moving of up to 10 lbs
- Standing and walking throughout the shift
- Reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Ability to work safely at heights up to 32 feet
- Ability to safely wear and work in a fall protection harness
- Clear vision and hearing to safely operate equipment and work around warehouse traffic
