Forklift Operator Warehouse First Shift

Position Description

Ryder is hiring Temp-To-Perm Material Handlers in Inwood, West Virginia — offering weekly pay and a career you can feel good about.

• $21.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; rotating weekly schedule
• Week 1:
  Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday (48 hrs)
• Week 2:
  Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday (36 hrs)

Equipment:
Sit‑Down Forklifts & High‑Reach Forklifts.

Location:

Inwood, West Virginia 25428.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Team player in a diverse work environment.
• Professional relationship‑building skills at all organizational levels.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Punctual with good attendance record.
• Works independently with minimal supervision; high initiative.
• Accurate, even under pressure.
• Capable of lifting and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Can stand for long periods and work using health and safety methods.
• Flexible schedule availability for various shifts.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
