We're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Maintenance Team Member to join our team on a part-time basis in Brighton, United Kingdom. In this role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our facilities running smoothly and safely. You'll work collaboratively with our maintenance team and external contractors to ensure all building systems, equipment, and assets are well-maintained and functioning optimally.

- Undertake and manage various general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, telecommunications, heating systems, carpentry, and decorating
- Conduct routine inspections of premises, equipment, and assets to identify maintenance needs and perform both reactive and preventive maintenance
- Install, inspect, and troubleshoot equipment, appliances, and building systems to ensure optimal performance
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance work with minimal disruption to occupants and visitors
- Maintain and replace heating, air conditioning, and distribution systems as required
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors and service providers, ensuring they adhere to service agreements and organizational procedures
- Maintain detailed records and daily logs of all repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment status
- Actively contribute to workplace safety by ensuring emergency exits remain clear and identifying potential hazards
- Champion environmental sustainability initiatives, including energy conservation, recycling, and waste management practices
- Comply with health and safety directives, including Legionnaires' disease prevention protocols
- Report stock levels and maintenance supply requirements to management
- Undertake appropriate training to develop expertise and stay current with industry best practices
- Demonstrated ability to install, inspect, and troubleshoot equipment and building systems
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities to work effectively with team members and contractors
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and efficiently
- Physical capability to perform manual maintenance tasks and work at heights when necessary
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to accommodate part-time scheduling
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining safe work practices
- Experience with HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems
- Familiarity with building management systems and preventive maintenance protocols
- Experience coordinating with external contractors and service providers
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and energy efficiency standards
- Previous experience in a hospitality, corporate, or facilities management environment
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues
- Strong customer-focused mindset and respect for occupant needs

Pay: £13.45 per hour
