Summary ofJob Duties
The SNAP E&T Case Manager works under the supervision of the Director of Adult Education. This full-time position is assigned to the Conway DWS facility. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
Responsibilities- Process referrals received from the SNAP E&T Central Office on a weekly basis.
- Follow the guidelines in the DHS SNAP E&T Handbook and SNAP E&T Manual.
- Conduct a preliminary assessment of referred individuals in a timely manner, which will include scale scores for the TABE assessment and Educational Functional Levels.
- Provide reverse referrals for individuals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based client files to support the timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Accurately maintain program participant files as required by Arkansas Adult Education.
- Serve as an Arkansas Adult Education approved Career Development Facilitator/Career Coach.
- Provide job search assistance to SNAP E&T program participants.
- Assist each SNAP E&T participant with the development of an individualized employment/education plan.
- Update employment/education plans in a timely manner as required by Arkansas Adult Education.
- Monitor the progress of each SNAP E&T participant, identify potential barriers to success, and develop an individualized solution strategy to promote successful progress.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to individuals and large groups.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software and applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
- Knowledge of office management principles, methods, and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic research, analyze information and prepare reports in a logical and informative manner.
- Ability to problem solve, organize and prioritize work, multitask, and be flexible and accepting of change.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with a team to achieve the mission/goal.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with people of various cultural backgrounds.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Three years of experience in program administration or related area.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to commit to and successfully complete the Arkansas Adult Education Career Services Provider (CSP) Course within one (1) year of hire.

Salary$40,000 to $45,000 – commensurate with education and experience.
