The Adjunct EMT Instructor shall be responsible to the Dean of Science, Technology, & Mathematics.
Duties include:
- Teach courses as assigned by the Academic Dean, attending each class for its full duration.
- Provide sufficient office hours and availability for student assistance beyond class time.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge in the EMT domain and attend required professional development activities on and off campus.
- Enter and update grades in the current Learning Management System, submitting grades promptly to the Registrar’s Office.
- Keep a syllabus on file for each course taught and file any revisions with the Academic Dean.
- Select textbooks and materials for each assigned course as needed.
- Participate in the Advisory Committee for the program (if applicable) and integrate its feedback.
- Demonstrate professionalism and collaborate cooperatively with all campus personnel.
- Complete required reports within the prescribed timeframe.
- Attend college functions as requested by administrative officers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean and/or Vice Chancellor for Academics.
- Effective oral and written communication with students and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills to serve the department efficiently.
- Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse student populations.
- Professional customer‑service demeanor at all times.
- Discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency with computers and basic applications.
- Physical ability to lift and/or move 30 pounds or more.
- Approved as an EMSP‑Instructor in Arkansas.
- Current Arkansas EMT license (EMT or above).
- Current CPR/BLS certification for Health Care Providers.
- Practical teaching experience in higher‑education settings.
- Three professional references.
- Copies of college transcripts, licensure, and certification documents.
$625 per credit hour.
