Job Details

1st Employment is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance professional for our client in Morrilton, Arkansas. The Quality Assurance position is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, fabricated parts, and finished products meet company and customer quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role works closely with the Quality Manager and production teams to inspect materials, document findings, identify quality concerns, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.

The ideal candidate for the Quality Assurance role will have prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and inspection requirements accurately. This individual must be comfortable using inspection equipment, maintaining organized records, and working in a fast-paced production setting while following all safety procedures and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials and fabricated components using a variety of measuring instruments and testing equipment.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and quality procedures to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Record, track, and upload inspection and testing data accurately into company systems and documentation logs.
  • Determine proper sample sizes for inspections based on established sampling plans and quality procedures.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and 2D drawings to perform accurate quality inspections and measurements.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products to the Quality Manager.
  • Isolate defective materials and assist with corrective action procedures when quality concerns arise.
  • Support root cause investigations and troubleshooting efforts related to manufacturing or product quality issues.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations and unit conversions to support inspection processes and measurements.
  • Ensure all testing equipment, gauges, and inspection instruments are cleaned, maintained, and calibrated properly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including the IQA lab and inspection stations.
  • Assist with additional quality projects, audits, and departmental tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or manufacturing inspection role preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and unit conversions accurately.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
