Position: Reg. Resp. Therapist, AHSIC- Full Time, Days 9AM-5PM, Morris Plains

Job Description

Responsible for respiratory care of patients as ordered by physician, according to established standards and practices. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement care plans. Provide respiratory care to patients as ordered by physician, maintain medical records, administer care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. CPAP/VPAP set ups in the patient home or office. Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Respiratory Therapist for the Morris Plains Clinical Services Unit.

The position will be working approximately 2‑day shifts per week – 8:30 – 5:00pm Monday–Friday. Possible Saturdays.

Requirements
  • Knowledge regarding homecare services and third‑party reimbursement
  • Excellent communication, documentation, customer service, organizational, prioritizing, and critical‑thinking skills
  • Bi‑lingual preferred
  • Provide respiratory care to patients as ordered by physician, according to established standards and practices
  • Assess patient health problems and needs
  • Develop and implement care plans
  • Maintain medical records
  • Administer care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients
  • CPAP/VPAP set ups in the patient home or office
Education & Qualifications
  • Associate Degree required;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • RRT preferred
  • State professional license to provide respiratory care/services to patients in New Jersey
  • NY and PA licenses preferred
