Position: Director of Employment, Innovation and Workforce Development

THE ARC/MORRIS COUNTY CHAPTER, NEW JERSEY, INC. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The organization provides a wide array of services, including residential care, respite programs, day habilitation, and more. Role Description

The Director of Employment Innovation & Workforce Development is a senior leadership role responsible for advancing Arc Morris’s mission by expanding meaningful, competitive, and integrated employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Operating at both a strategic and executional level, this role designs and implements employment strategies that promote independence, economic mobility, and long-term career success. The Director collaborates across employment, education, workforce development, funding entities, and human services systems to build sustainable employment pathways and strong external partnerships.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, systems-oriented leader with demonstrated success advancing competitive, integrated employment outcomes. This individual is mission-driven, data-informed, and comfortable navigating complex funding and service systems in a fast-paced environment.

  • Full utilization of Federal and State set-aside programs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in workforce development, disability employment, or related fields
  • Knowledge of WIOA, Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicaid employment services, and workforce systems
  • Demonstrated experience building employer and community partnerships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Federal and State set-aside programs
  • Ability to operate effectively in a senior, cross-functional leadership role
