Uncle Giuseppe's Stores located in Morris Plains, NJ is seeking an experienced full‑time Loss Prevention-Asset Protection Investigator. The position reports to the Risk Asset Protection Manager and works collaboratively to protect our stores.

Our Loss Prevention Asset Protection Investigators are responsible for executing key initiatives related to theft, operational accountability, shrink and safety across Uncle Giuseppe’s store locations. This role requires proactive engagement with store associates and managers in set locations to address all loss prevention and safety concerns.

• Conduct surveillance of the store and utilize CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter individuals from committing theft of our property.
• Partner with store management to meet strategic asset protection goals and awareness.
• Provide clear and consistent training to all store personnel on safety compliance, new‑hire training, and operational audits.
• Conduct investigations and interviews for inventory, cash loss, company policy violations, and related matters.
• Ensure security standards are maintained and adhered to at all times.
• Monitor physical inventory through daily and monthly reports and audits to maintain integrity.
• Train store associates on awareness and Asset Protection policies and procedures.
• Organize and conduct annual store inventory.
• Develop shortage strategies for merchandise groups, paperwork controls, and shortage awareness.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

• Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of Asset Protection experience in a large‑volume retail environment preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn Uncle G’s standards, procedures, and store customer flow.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with retail procedures and deep knowledge of criminal and civil processes and proceedings.
• Working knowledge of retail security and information systems.
• Excellent understanding of MS Office Suite and field‑represented software programs.
• Must be able to speak, read, and communicate in English.
