Constellation Energy seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support safety and reliability across our energy generation assets. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain fire protection programs for utility and energy facilities, ensuring compliance with NFPA, NRC, and other regulatory standards. Responsibilities include performing fire hazards analyses, supporting fire risk assessments, reviewing designs and modifications for fire safety impacts, and coordinating inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems.

You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve issues, drive continuous improvement, and support licensing, audits, and emergency preparedness activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain fire protection programs for utility and energy facilities
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, NRC, and other applicable codes and standards
  • Conduct fire hazards analyses and support fire risk assessments
  • Review plant designs, modifications, and procedures for fire safety impacts
  • Coordinate inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems
  • Support regulatory inspections, audits, and licensing activities
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on fire safety issues
  • Provide technical guidance and training on fire protection requirements
  • Lead or support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to emergency preparedness and response planning for fire events
