Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Serenity Estates of Morris, a leading provider of senior care in Morris, IL. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met in a safe and dignified manner. Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, serving, and collection of meals and snacks in accordance with established dietary guidelines and regulations

  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas to maintain a sanitary environment

  • Collaborate with the dietary team to plan, prepare, and serve menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents

  • Monitor and manage food inventory, ensuring that we always have the necessary supplies to provide high-quality meals

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and healthcare staff to ensure that we are meeting their needs and exceeding their expectations

  • Participate in training and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care and service

Requirements
  • 0 years of experience in food service or a related field (training provided)

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a focus on quality

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff

  • Ability to lift, bend, and move equipment and supplies as needed

  • Reliability and flexibility, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
