Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team. The HRBP will partner closely with managers and employees to support day-to-day HR operations while helping create a positive, productive, and compliant work environment. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and provides guidance on employee relations, leave management, payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and HR best practices.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Partner with managers to provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, performance management, coaching, and policy interpretation.
- Investigate employee concerns and recommend appropriate resolutions while maintaining confidentiality.
- Employee Engagement & Retention
- Partner with leaders to create a positive workplace culture where employees feel valued and engaged. Monitor turnover trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop initiatives that increase employee engagement, improve retention, and support overall organizational success. - Manage employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and other protected leaves.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Process employee status changes and maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS.
- Support payroll by reviewing timecards, resolving payroll discrepancies, and ensuring accurate employee pay.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and general benefits questions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies.
- Partner with leadership to support workforce planning, organizational initiatives, and continuous improvement.
- Assist with recruiting activities, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding when needed.
- Conduct HR training for supervisors and employees on company policies, employment practices, and compliance.
- Prepare and present HR metrics, reports, and presentations to support business decisions and leadership initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
- Participate in special HR projects and continuous process improvements.
- 4-6 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, leave administration, payroll, benefits, and employment law.
- Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll systems is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to create reports, analyze workforce data, and develop professional presentations for leadership.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional Human Resources experience.
- Experience supporting multiple locations is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
