Maintenance Turnaround Planning Manager
In your future role as a Maintenance Turnaround Planning Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of all turnaround (shutdown) events, preventive maintenance (PM) programs, and major maintenance projects. The position is critical to maintaining the operation of the facility and lab equipment, ensuring a safe working environment for personnel and site occupants, and delivering customer projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the planning and scheduling for turnarounds, shutdowns, PMs, and major maintenance events, aligning expectations with stakeholders.
- Ensure maintenance work is planned and executed safely, meeting regulatory and company requirements.
- Monitor KPIs during work progress, proactively addressing deviations to meet performance targets.
- Capture opportunities and feedback during events, feeding post‑turnaround reviews to identify lessons learned.
- Support the budget process by mapping PMs and one‑time events for the following year.
- Manage and capture MRO opportunities, documenting activities and communicating issues and improvements in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—engineering, operations, safety, procurement, and contractors—to ensure readiness and scope alignment.
- Lead root‑cause analysis regarding equipment failure and bad actors, promoting continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in turnaround planning, maintenance, or project leadership within the chemical or process industry.
- Proficient in SAP‑PM.
- Strong understanding of the planning/maintenance process flow from notification to execution.
- Proven leadership and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to influence and persuade others to a particular course of action.
- Self‑directed, able to manage multiple tasks with minimal direction.
