Registered Nurse

Position: REGISTERED NURSE
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Same Day Surgery Nurse, under the supervision of the Same Day Manager, is responsible for the nursing care of patients assigned to him/her, and to direct others in patient care, in the Same Day Surgery and Infusion Therapy settings. QUALIFICATIONS # Professional/Educational Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Current Illinois license with biennial renewal. Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Advanced Life Support (ACLS) preferred. BSN preferred. DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required. # Personal Maintains good physical and emotional well-being. Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy and honesty. Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability and professional conduct. Possesses personal qualities such as kindness, sympathy, understanding, respect, good judgement, responsibility, integrity, loyalty, a sense of humor and an ability to relate effectively with patients, their families, and staff.

Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others. Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
