- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
- Conduct routine safety meetings, audits, inspections, and behavioral observations to ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and company safety initiatives.
- Partner with Operations leadership to identify safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and ensure associates consistently follow PPE requirements, safe work practices, and operational SOPs.
- Ensure all required safety postings and compliance materials are updated and displayed properly throughout the facility.
- Support site readiness for internal and external safety audits.
- Oversee daily yard operations to ensure efficient trailer movement, rail movement, dock flow, and operational support.
- Maintain accurate trailer inventory and carrier tracking.
- Partner with Guards and yard personnel to ensure adherence to site procedures, security protocols, and operational expectations.
- Ensure yard equipment, railcars and operational assets are maintained in safe working condition and communicate maintenance concerns promptly.
- Monitor staffing levels and operational coverage to support business demands.
- Assist leadership with operational planning and workflow coordination.
- Support and maintain compliance with CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) standards and facility security protocols.
- Conduct routine security inspections of trailers, yard areas, and facility access points.
- Partner with site leadership to ensure security procedures are consistently followed.
- Assist with maintaining documentation and audit readiness related to CTPAT requirements.
- Promote awareness of facility security procedures and compliance expectations among associates and visitors.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in warehouse, yard, logistics, or manufacturing operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, workplace safety standards, and compliance regulations.
- Experience conducting safety training and compliance audits.
- Knowledge of CTPAT security requirements preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume operational environment.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and off‑shifts as operationally required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple shifts and high‑volume operations.
- Strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across departments and leadership levels.
