Position Description

Ryder is hiring Forklift Operators in Morris, Illinois. The position offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Weekly Pay: $21.75 per hour.
Additional Pay: $2.00 per hour for shift, up to $2.75 per hour for earned incentives.
Schedule: Sunday/Monday and Thursday/Friday, 5:00 pm – 3:30 am.

Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
  • Adhere to performance measurement guidelines under contract terms.
  • Accurately pick, pack, audit, and stage products; load and unload trucks.
  • Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in the warehouse (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
  • Carry out any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse work environment.
  • Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
  • Ability to lift and/or push or pull up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Follows health and safety methods and procedures.
  • Availability for flexible shifts.
